When looking at the Vendelev gold hoard presumably buried by an Iron Age chieftan of the 6th Century, the artifacts are extrodinary. The hoard was found in Vindelev, Denmark. Gold coins can be systematically defined by the rolled attachment making it into an necklace ornament. The practice can be traced back to Rome, called Gemme Numari.
